Julia Thorne

Throughout a career in photography and journalism Julia's passion for travel has never waned.

Stretching out of her comfort zone across the continents has fed her enthusiasm for sharing adventures with others.

"Connecting with other people and cultures, sharing our countries and experiences is what makes life fun and fulfilling" she says.

Aotearoa is Julia's home-turf and as a fifth generation kiwi she mainly hosts small private groups on their soft-adventures throughout the Zealandia continent.

"Exploring back-roads scenery, regional wines and produce, arts, boat rides, nature walks, historic towns and quirky "kiwiana" are all part of the experience."

"We take people on journeys not just "tick the box tours" - even though New Zealand truly is "one out of the box!".

"If I had to sum up this country's main point of difference, I'd say it was "beautiful diversity" - in scenery, culture and opportunity" Julia says.

"Enhancing my guest's' time in 'god-zone' brings me the greatest satisfaction".

Julia is available as a private driver/guide (kaiarahi) for pre-arranged small group tours or creates "made to measure" itineraries for the discerning 40+/- age-group travellers.
